Hello, my name is Christie. I am a qualified (MA) Art Psychotherapist, HCPC registered with an enhanced DBS and 11 years of experience in mental health. Art Psychotherapy can be a great alternative to talking therapies, allowing for exploration and processing of thoughts, feelings and experiences. Sometimes it can feel difficult to find the right words, however expressing yourself and communicating through art can help. It is not an art class and work will not be judged in any way. Sessions will be on a 1:1 basis and tailored to your goals and needs. I can offer a 50 minute session per week, either in-person (Hampshire) or online.
Flexible and explorative Art Therapy sessions
I specialise in anxiety and depression, loss and bereavement, loneliness, communication, self-esteem, motivation, childhood difficulties, attachment and relational difficulties among other areas, working with a variety of ages. Having a safe non-judgemental space to explore can help you to process and heal, working at your own pace.
Before we begin, I will offer a free, casual video or phone call to discuss your referral as part of the assessment. This will help us to discuss what you may wish to work on in our sessions and jointly create a rough plan. You will have the chance to ask any questions you may have and be sent a consent contract and resources which hold further information.
