It might have taken you some time to get to this point. Maybe it’s not the first time you have looked at our pictures and put us in the Too Hard Basket? How about a different move? Working with me is about not being alone with “it”. I am a calm, gentle person-centred counsellor and my way is simply to provide you with a safe space to explore what is really going on for you. I offer an honest, real and genuine relationship, like a mirror to understanding what is happening for you. Experience of long term relationship breakdown, abuse, trauma and serious illness inform my practice. One more step is all.
I believe you have it in you to find your best way of being, but the past, current circumstances or unwanted experiences may have knocked you 'off course'. We can re-set this! You may feel depressed, anxious or self-harming. “It” might seem impossible; whatever 'it' is, sounding it out in a safe space, testing those thoughts and beliefs, can help.
Ok so the next step is the biggy… call, text, email, whichever feels easiest for you. But then that’s it! I will do my best to answer any questions you may have about my work. I have a cosy study at the front of my home, but am also open to video calls. My only housemate is a scruffy little puppy who would love to say hello if you wish.
