About

I am a trans non binary integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, with many years of experience working in an NHS Clinical Psychology Department and private practice. In private practice, I welcome anyone who feels that psychotherapy may be of help, whether you are looking to have just a few sessions to think about a specific issue or situation, or would like to consider longer-term therapy. Depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, illness, bereavement, self-esteem, gender and sexuality, queer identity, life-changes, are just some of the reasons why you may want to try psychotherapy.
My approach to psychotherapy is integrative - this means I work creatively and have different perspectives and theories to draw on when working with you. I can adapt my approach to suit your changing needs. The main therapeutic modalities I draw upon are psychodynamic psychotherapy, acceptance commitment therapy, schema therapy and MBCBT.
I believe you are the expert of your life - you hold the resources to navigate life’s terrain and you may just need some guidance to connect to them. I will listen carefully to what you have to say to discover some of the root causes of your problems and develop strategies to help you live a more fulfilling life.

Chris Grant's Groups

Gender Diverse Group Therapy

There are two online group therapy options : Gender Diverse Specific Group Therapy and Queer Group Therapy. So what’s the difference? Well, unlike queer group therapy, where many members may identify as gender diverse along with other intersecting identities, members of the Gender Diverse Specific Group may want a specific space that is centred around gender diversity, where they can reflect on their experiences of gender and hear others experiences. Queer Group Therapy is not centred around any one specific identity but instead is an unapologetic space where ‘queerness’ in all it’s expansiveness and meanings can be explored.
