I have many years of experience working with children & young people as well as adults. I can support children to reduce their anxiety, build self esteem & resilience as well as supporting them with change & loss. I can build trust quickly. I use creative & play therapy to support children & young people. As an adult, you might be struggling with self worth, depression and/or anxiety which might be stopping you living the life you want. I will work with you to try and change this. I will support you through loss, whether it be from bereavement, separation/divorce or changes in your job/career situation, friendship or family.
I trained as a person centred counsellor, which means to me, being open & honest whilst trying not to judge, as well as showing empathy to what is shared in the counselling session. Having a background in mentoring and teaching, I can use this experience to try & support you in making changes more quickly if required.
It is the client who leads each session we have. I can help you let go of negative beliefs so that you can become more authentic & relaxed with who you are & less worried about what people think of you. This can be freeing, allowing you to make positive changes in your life. Working together we can try to make sense of issues you bring to counselling.
