Hello, I’m Catherine and I’m a registered Clinical Psychologist, specialising in child and family work. I qualified with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East London in 2013, and have been working within the NHS, at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and privately with children and families since. I specialise in working with children and families to overcome difficulties and reach their preferred futures. I have expertise in working with children and families in Child and Adolescent Mental Health settings, Paediatrics and Schools.
Therapeutically, I draw upon the current evidence base and work collaboratively with children and families to tailor support to effectively manage difficulties such as anxiety, low mood and challenging behaviour. Of equal importance, I work to develop the child or young person’s resilience and self-esteem.
All families go through times of difficulty and can face different challenges. Sometimes our usual ways of coping with problems can feel like they no longer work and we can feel “stuck” about what to do. Sometimes we need somewhere to go to think through difficulties, and find new ways to manage.
