Having worked in the NHS for over fifteen years; I specialise in Psychiatric care and Neurodiversity. As a Neurodivergent therapist, I have found from practice and my research, which evidences Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy; strong therapeutic alliance with my patients; there's reassurance, safety and a sense of belonging when working with someone who actually gets you! I have worked hard to ensure therapy caters to and adapts to our brains! Techniques such as eye contact, open questions, long silences, often made me and my patients want to run away, perpetuating a belief of hopelessness and helplessness.
Neurodivergent-affirming therapy, EMDR, DBT, CBT, Psychotherapy, NHS Trauma informed pathway; CPTSD, EUPD, attachment disorder. Neuro developmental: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD: and secondary psychiatric symptomatology, emotional regulation, attachment, trauma, addiction, OCD/obsessional thinking. disordered eating. risk: self harming, suicidal ideation.
You’re already scrolling through all these lovely therapist’ profiles; half the work is done! Taking that first step to seek support is the hardest part; it takes courage-but look you’re here! Well done for taking responsibility, a willingness to sit in the discomfort, do the work, aspiring for change, Spam me with any questions or to book a consult.
