About
A very warm welcome to you, my name is Charly (she/her) and I specialise in working with surivivors of trauma and abuse. I have spent the last 10 years working in a range of clinical, custodial, and community mental health settings supporting adults and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues, self reported and diagnosed conditions. For the last two years I have been volunteering with a domestic violence charity.
My speciality is working with trauma. I use a trauma informed approach, meaning I have a good awareness of the widespread impact of trauma on life experiences and relationships. I recognise trauma’s role in the outlook, emotions and behavior of a person with a trauma history.
My counselling style is built on a holistic view that offers safety, compassion, and a non judgmental and open environment. Working collaboratively towards hope, strength, relief and enabling long-lasting change.
