About
I am a chartered psychologist specialising in relationships, depression, anxiety and stress, sexuality and gender, eating disorders, physical health conditions, parenting and many other difficulties. Whilst labels/diagnosis can serve an important function, I believe it is necessary to focus our attention on the unique ways we experience our difficulties and how this impacts on our relationship with ourselves, others and the world.
I have worked in a number of different NHS settings including, the Gender Identity Clinic at the Tavistock and Portman, Eating Disorder Service, Anxiety and mood service and a specialist service for people with suicidal thoughts and feelings. I create a non-judgemental and warm environment, drawing on mindfulness, compassion, CBT and humanistic therapies.
It can feel daunting reaching out to a therapist. I aim to create a safe and non-judgemental space in which we can explore whatever it is that brings you to therapy. Feel free to contact me via email or phone and I will get back to you within 24 hours. I offer a free initial consultation to give you the opportunity to get a sense of me and how I work.
