Having spent over a decade working in the health and fitness industry prior to training as a psychologist, I have a particular interest in issues relating to the body, including weight, eating disorders, and body dissatisfaction. I have extensive experience working with people in larger bodies and am an advocate of health at every size and body diversity. I also have a strong interest in LGBTQ+ issues and am experienced in working with clients who struggle with a range of other difficulties including anxiety, depression, loneliness, bereavement and life transitions. I am able to support adults and young people aged sixteen +.
I offer a kind, empathic, collaborative and individualised approach to therapy, in which we work together as a team to help you make sense of the issues you are facing. I draw on a range of psychotherapeutic models to find the approach that works best for you, so that you can move forward more happily.
It's important that you feel that there is a good fit between you, your therapist and the approach you both take towards helping you move forward. If you are interested in working with me, please do get in touch so we can have a brief conversation about the challenges you are facing and how we might be able to work together.
