About

Life can be stressful and full of uncertainty, so as a Counselling Psychologist I will use a variety of theories from my years of training and beyond to treat you as a whole person who is more than just their struggles, insecurities and pain. Therapy can help you deeply explore your past or give you tools to cope better in the present. It can allow someone else to understand you so that eventually you can understand yourself. I am a relatable and down to earth person and my aim is to make you feel safe, listened to, valued and understood so that you can build self-awareness, self-compassion and self-acceptance.
I work psychodynamically, use EMDR, Compassion-Focused and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and other behavioural and humanist modalities to bridge the past and the present. We can explore your past, have a look at what (un)conscious patterns are being repeated, so that in the present day you can make choices that are more aligned to your values.
Choosing a therapist for yourself or for your child can sometimes feel like a daunting or overwhelming task. I am an experienced psychologist and can apply a working knowledge of evidence-based therapies to many different diagnoses and disorders, whilst always preferring to see you as a whole person. Please get in touch for a free telephone consultation.
