I have worked in therapy services for over 20 years. During this time I have worked with a range of difficulties including: depression, anxiety, challenges with confidence and self-esteem, eating difficulties, trauma, relationship problems, and challenges with identity.
I take an explicitly compassionate approach. I believe we are all doing the best we can with the knowledge and resources available to us and if it were easy, we would all already be doing better. I also believe that therapy helps us to develop new understandings and build our internal resources so that we can make different choices and live more fulfilling lives.
I develop an individualised tailored approach for each individual person. To do this, I draw on a range of therapies including CBT, 3rd wave CBT approaches, mindfulness, DBT, EMDR, attachment theory, and somatic practices. We would discuss different options that suit your needs and wants from therapy which may include blending elements of these therapies.
I believe the most important part of therapy the relationship between the therapist and client and so I offer a free 15-20 minute introductory session to meet and get a sense of whether we would work well together. From there, we can book sessions as agreed. My rates are: £100 per session, £340 for a block of 4, £600 for a block of 8 (+£20 for in-person).
