Over 10 years experience of supporting people through their difficulties - within the NHS and private practice, helping them change unhelpful patterns of thoughts & behaviour to increase their confidence & self-esteem. I have a special interest in working with trauma, I am passionate about helping people explore and overcome adverse past experiences which continue to impact them in the present. I will help you take a step back from the overwhelming nature of your difficulties and teach you effective ways to break the negative cycles you find yourself in and ultimately support you to regain control and live the life you want to live.
I incorporate a number of approaches within my practice such as CBT, Schema Therapy & EMDR to tailor my therapy to individual need. Additionally, I work with people who feel their engagement in certain sexual activities or behaviour feel out of their control and are having a negative impact on their lives, often referred to as 'sex, porn or love addiction'.
The prospect of therapy can feel daunting. When you enter therapy with me you aren't expected to lead the conversation and fill the silence and you certainly won't be expected to lie on a couch whilst I psychoanalyse you! Instead, my focus is putting you at ease with my non-judgmental, approachable and professional yet down to earth and reassuring nature
