I have over 18 years of experience of working with adults with complex needs of all ages in the community and in hospital settings. After obtaining full accreditation as a psychodynamic psychotherapist at the Tavistock and Portman centre I now work in private practice offering weekly individual psychotherapy sessions . I specialise in psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic work with personality disorders, depression, narcissistic abuse, OCD, grief, bereavement, anxiety, PTSD, dual diagnosis, anger, neurodivergent (ADHD, ASD) ,eating disorders, substance misuse/addiction issues and all relationship/emotional or psycho- sexual issues.
I will offer a fully comprehensive consultation to assess a patients therapeutic needs. I am transparent in my approach of working using the psychodynamic approach, however I will ensure the work is tailored to suit individuals needs and may incorporate other modalities. I will offer 50 minute sessions at the same time each week except in scheduled breaks.
Having a difficult, chaotic or even dysfunctional start in life can lead to later unfulfilling emotional experiences. It is my belief that with long term weekly therapy everyone can learn about themselves and others processing experiences and deep feelings which can lead to feeling more content, less anxious and have a healthier relationship with themselves.
