I am a counselling psychologist specialising in the assessment and treatment of trauma-related difficulties. With over 15 years of experience, I have worked with a diverse range of psychological issues, focusing particularly on PTSD, Complex PTSD, and related concerns. I have a special interest in the long-term effects of childhood trauma.
I work in specialist trauma services within the NHS and in private practice. My background includes working in various specialised settings, such as sexual health, anxiety and mood disorders,HIV, substance misuse, and homelessness services.
I utilise various evidence-based psychological models to foster a collaborative therapeutic experience. My approaches include Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Approaches, and psychosexual therapies.
My goal is to create a confidential, safe, and nonjudgmental environment for clients to explore their issues. I focus on working collaboratively with clients to understand and resolve their problems. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy options.
