As an Integrative Child and Young Person (YP) Psychotherapist I offer a safe, non-directive space and a wide variety of creative materials to children and YP’s between the ages of 3 to 25 years. I aim to build a therapeutic relationship of trust to try to help children and YP feel accepted, seen and heard for who they feel they are internally. I listen to worries and fears; accept and understand hard feelings like anger, hate and rage and try to sort out inside imagination from outside reality.
I try to enable children and YP to feel thought about, safe and understood with the aim of re-establishing rewarding relationships, positively re-aligning ongoing development, building self-esteem and confidence towards re-engaging with learning pathways and accepting comfort.
Each child and Young Person is unique. Difference is part of what it means to be human meaning that at times conflicts, confusions and unknown behaviours may seem troubling, perhaps blocking care-givers loving care, or may seem to make learning difficult and possibly appear as unsolvable worries.
