I specialise in the field of unresolved grief, loss, overwhelm and trauma. I offer EMDR therapy to clients who seek to fulfil their potential away from painful life events, overwhelming and challenging personal and professional stressors. I have experience in treating single or complex traumas alongside supporting the emotional wellbeing of any individuals at high risk of stress, anxiety and chronic career pressures. Over the last sixteen years as an integrative psychotherapist, supervisor and clinical lead in a busy NHS environment, I have also experienced a broad spectrum of clients' concerns and struggles.
The experience of overwhelm, grief, fear, confusion, doubt and trauma leads to a different recovery pathway in each individual. As such, my approach is client led and my ethos drawn to promoting a de-stigmatising approach in which life's struggles, challenges, tragedies and recoveries are explored as part of being human.
All human lives are at times affected by profound changes, realisations, pressures, rites of passage that can be extremely tough life transitions and test our resources to the extreme. Recovery doesn't adhere to 'one size fits all' but is an individual process of exploration towards healing, from a suffered, painful readjustment.
