My ideal client will be hungry to look at and into themselves in the face of whatever brings them to therapy, and will want to work through their challenges to identify ways of moving forward. Perhaps you feel adrift in a current relationship, or following a break-up; you may be grieving a loved one; you may feel that you lack purpose. Whatever it is, I believe that knowing ourselves better can help us find alternative ways of thinking and feeling, and can help us avoid falling into the same old patterns of behaviour. I trained as an Integrative therapist, meaning that my 'toolbox' is varied; the style of therapy I offer moulds itself around the individual. I place value on the nature of the relationship between client and therapist, and believe this in itself to be a transformative force. I offer a space to explore safely the things you find difficult to face.
It takes courage to look at yourself honestly and want to move forward differently; there is safety in the familiar, and we can all cling to old habits whilst knowing they do not serve us. In an environment of self-compassion, we will look at what motivates you, and hopefully equip you with an updated map of how to be in the world.
