Sometimes strong emotions such as anger, sadness and anxiety can leave children feeling overwhelmed. This can lead them to become withdrawn, have difficulties at school and in friendships, or show their feelings in behaviours which are unhelpful. Psychotherapy can help your child to put their feelings into words and help them to express themselves in a different way. They will have access to a confidential space in which they can explore what is causing their distress and, by understanding themselves better, they can have better relationships with their family and friends and begin to build their confidence.
I am a psychotherapist, specialising in work with children and adolescents. I completed my clinical training at Birkbeck (MSc) and my practice is conducted within a multidisciplinary clinic. I work closely with other professionals to offer your child a holistic approach to their wellbeing, and to make sure they are accessing the best possible support.
