The aim of sessions is to work towards an understanding of the challenges you face and the changes you wish to make. During sessions, you will be the focus of our attentions and I will value you without judgement, as a unique person, an equal. Having been in counselling myself, I have an understanding of the process. It can be a daunting prospect, and I will support you in that journey. I have listed many specialities and whilst I do have experience of working with them, I believe there is more to you than a "diagnosis" or an "issue" so the focus is on you the whole person, and whatever you choose to bring. NOTE - OVER 18'S ONLY
I have worked in various settings with enduring diagnosed mental health conditions, depression, abuse, trauma, domestic violence and have done lots of work with students and the many issues they bring (study related and otherwise.) I am also qualified in CBT and have used this successfully, especially with social anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder.
Private therapy room is Wheelchair Accessible for in-person sessions, get in touch for more details. Walk&Talk Therapy is also available, this is counselling while walking (or sitting) outdoors. Some find it more comfortable walking side-by-side, rather than sitting face to face in a room. Wheelchair accessible routes also available
