About
Counselling can help young people process feelings that feel unmanageable and situations that feel impossible. I offer a safe space for young people to talk about their fears, worries and anything difficult that is happening in their lives. I have been working with young people in various settings for over 10 years. Teenagers often internalise problems, having time with a warm, empathetic professional can empower them to process their feelings in a healthy way. I am able to offer online sessions for young people over the age of 13 or in person sessions for young people aged 5-19 at The Practice in Weybridge.
I am an integrative counsellor which means that I use different theories to inform my practice. I work from a relational perspective in that I believe the relationship between the counsellor and the client is central to the work.
I offer a free telephone conversation to see if I can help you. After that you can book a session where I can meet the young person and we can discuss the focus of the work and whether they would like to work with me. My experience includes working for Relate as a CAMHS counsellor, Lifecentre, in primary and secondary schools as well as in private practice.
