I work with women at transitional stages in life: leaving home, becoming a parent or empty nester, changing career or retiring, living with illness or disability, experiencing bereavement or the end of a relationship. You might feel that you don’t know yourself any more, that you are overwhelmed, filled with anxiety for the future. A major life event might have smashed to pieces the world you thought you knew. Your sleep is affected, you no longer feel joy, hope, peace or security. Life changes can leave us feeling lost, frightened, and struggling. I know how hard it is when we no longer know who we are or see the way forward.

This is my therapy room - a comfortable, private space.

I offer a secure space to bring your pain, confusion, anger, and sadness. It’s a place where you can be real, where you don’t have to put on a brave face, or hold everything together. I don’t tell you what to do, or give advice, but I help you to explore and understand your own needs, experiences and patterns to find a healthy, meaningful way forward.

When we’re in pain we want to feel better immediately. The act of telling me about what you are feeling can give you an instant feeling of relief. That’s just the start of the process, though, as we build a relationship of trust, developing the confidence for self exploration and development.
