Sometimes the problems we are faced with, can overwhelm us and our mental wellbeing and behaviour are affected by it. Even our upbringing and early experiences in life can impact on the way we feel and behave now in adulthood. Therapy can help to open up about our problems and experiences, making sense of them, process them and move forward. With this in mind, I will be by your side, helping you to explore the difficulties you face in a safe, non-judgemental, warm and nurturing environment. We will process your emotions and feelings and find new coping skills and solutions, enabling you to grow towards the person you strive to be.
The sessions are led by you and since every person has their own unique experiences, the techniques I use, are tailored specifically to your needs. To help you process your difficulties and positively change, we may use behavioural techniques, mindfulness, interventions around attachment theory, compassion focused therapy or acceptance & commitment therapy.
I believe that a trusting and good therapeutic relationship between yourself and your counsellor is important. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to find out more about how working together could look like and how change can be achieved. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
