I specialise in Bereavement Counselling.Have you had a major loss in your life which you are struggling to deal with? Are you unable to express your emotions and make sense of what has happened? It helps you to express yourself and work through your grief and in time helps you to gain a different perspective on your situation and learn to have a healthy response to what has happened in your life.Counselling shines a light on the difficult areas of life.

Life can be a rollercoaster at times and when we are faced with tough times it can be difficult to manage our feelings or even locate what we are feeling and why. Sometimes we can feel stuck, lost, numb or alone in our pain, I can offer you a safe and confidential space to explore your difficulties, free from judgement. I am a warm and friendly person and I aim to provide the conditions needed for you to feel confident enough to allow me to journey with you to move forward positively.

What I am offering is counselling of a Person-Centred nature, this is exactly as it sounds, you are at the centre. It is about you and you have the ability to solve your own issues. If you want to be my client, I will sit and listen with the focus on you as a unique individual. The counselling process, incorporates empathy, genuineness and unconditional positive. These may seem like strange words but they mean that I am skilled at listening and that I can see the world from your point of view, with no pre-determined judgement or conditions. The question is, Could counselling change your life ?

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Clinical evidence based Mindfulness, aimed at effective treatment of most psychological issues. I am an Expert Witness and do court work (especially trauma).I aim to get desired results quickly (I am not a fan of long term therapy, but do offer long term support, if needed). I believe action oriented client, centered therapy works better than just "active listening, "which clients often find frustrating. Empowering people to help themselves is useful and reduces realiance on a therapist, I aim to make myself redundant and not needed by a client. Remote therapy works really well in my experience.
