If you are coping with high levels of anxiety or depression, if past traumatic experiences are interfering in your ability to manage the present and sleep is problematic then this can change. By understanding what is happening in your system (mind and body), using your natural resources well and having some new tools to use, you can get back into balance, to the you that is resilient, able to focus and live to your potential.
My approach is practical, collaborative, measurable and cost effective (as few sessions as possible). The Human Givens approach uses the latest information from neuro-scientists on how the brain works; recent findings from psychologists and knowledge of which therapeutic interventions work effectively.
In a therapy session, there is no expectation for clients to talk about previous bad experience – research shows this can make the situation worse. If there is trauma present it can be relieved very quickly (often within one session). My aim is to help the client to move forward into positive experiences immediately.
