About
Bump in the Road Therapy was created from my own personal experience with pregnancy, birth and beyond. The glow people talk about during pregnancy did not arrive and with various pregnancy related ailments, I felt like the only person in the world who couldn’t wait for pregnancy to be over right from the start (and not just to meet my baby). In various parenting groups, I have met a number of birthing people & their partners who have experienced a loss of control regarding their birth, intrusive thoughts, fighting for their needs, the feelings of vulnerability and so on. I am passionate about lifting that burden of carrying these.
I offer a place for you to truly be yourself and work through difficult times in your life via voice, video & email counselling. Issues we can address: •Perinatal Anxiety •Birth Anxiety• Postnatal Depression• Birth Trauma & difficulties •Miscarriage •Baby loss •Parenting overwhelm & transition •C- Section complications •The Fourth Trimester
Are you pregnant and finding the changes overwhelming or concerned about giving birth? Are you troubled by a traumatic or difficult birth? Perhaps you’re finding it difficult to settle into your new life as a parent or finding it difficult to enjoy your baby? If you have been reading this and felt ‘That’s me!’ then get in touch to book in an initial session.
