Allow me to introduce myself: I am a father, a son, a husband, a good friend, a counsellor and psychotherapist. People experience difficulties in all sorts of areas in their lives. If these difficulties are getting on top of you or making you unhappy, it may be helpful to see a therapist.
We see a therapist not because we are ‘crazy’, or because there is something wrong with us. We simply seek the support of a professional, who is trained in how our brain works.
Your therapist should be someone who listens very carefully to what you are saying, and helps you to explore any possible changes that you may want to make in your life.
During our sessions, you will be supported to reflect and develop strategies to navigate and manage issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, low self esteem or whatever your needs are.
In addition to my integrative methods, I also incorporate aspects of Dr. Gabor Maté's 'Compassionate Inquiry' Approach into my practice; having attended a number of his workshops, including the 'Compassionate Inquiry Approach to Mental Health and Physical Illness' led by himself.
