I have over 25 years experience working with individuals who have experienced PTSD, BPD, trauma, depression, child neglect, sexual abuse and anxiety. I work predominantly within the psychodynamic model of psychotherapy. This type of therapy focuses on revealing the unconscious impact that trauma and other difficulties have had and continue to have on our lives. It helps us to understand the root causes of difficult emotions, behaviours, feelings, bringing them into the conscious mind where they can be processed and understood. This helps to bring about healing and the resolution of destructive patterns of behaviours and thinking.

I work within the psychodynamic model of psychotherapy. This therapy focuses on revealing the unconscious content of an individual's psyche to help understand the difficulties that are being experienced by you, the individual. This therapy helps you to understand your deep rooted emotions and behaviours.

Our psyche can bury into our unconscious painful feelings and memories which are to difficult for our conscious mind to process. As a result of this, we can sometimes behave in ways which we do not understand. Psychodynamic psychotherapy helps you identify, explore, understand and hopefully change these behaviours.
