I am trained in a number of approaches but first and foremost I begin with a person centred approach. This means I will listen to you and together we can build a way of working that suits you best - I am here to hear how things are from your point of view. Counselling offers an opportunity to explore what matters at the heart of your life with an experienced professional in a quiet, confidential setting. In a first appointment we can explore together what you're looking for from therapy. We can meet weekly or fortnightly to explore a focused goal or we can just make space to gently explore how you're feeling and see what comes up!
I have a diploma in a relational approach to psychotherapy which means I'm skilled at exploring how our relationships; past and present; can affect how we view our lives and can also impact how we relate to ourselves internally. I also have training in bringing creativity into the therapeutic process - if either of these aspects appeal to you do ask me more!
