People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons: you may want support with a life event or transition, be experiencing anxiety or depression, be feeling dissatisfied in your relationships, or want to better understand yourself and what you want from life. I'm fascinated by the ways we search for meaning in our lives, and I know how amazing and transformative good relationships of all kinds can be, and how painful it can be when we struggle to find or keep them. I'm passionate about helping people learn to relate to themselves, others and the world in the fullest possible way.
We become who we are in our first relationships, and continue to become, in all our relationships, for the rest of our lives. In a good therapeutic relationship you can learn to feel safe, accepted and valued just as you are. Together we'll learn about you and your ways of being in the world and in relationships, about what's working for you, and what isn't.
I know what a brave step it can be starting therapy (I've been there). Research shows that the relationship is the most important factor in therapy, and I offer a free initial appointment so you can get an idea of what it would be like to work together and see if we're a good match. If you think we might be, get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.
