My name is Beth Bolitho and I am a psychodynamic therapist working with children, teens, young adults and parents.
We all have our mountains to climb. Sometimes the journey can seem insurmountable. We need a companion to encourage us and keep us safe; someone with whom we can sit and reflect about the challenges, our achievements as well as thinking about the path yet to climb. I provide a listening ear for young people and their families, to help them to make sense of their worries, whether it be stress and anxiety, coping with family breakdown or bereavement, struggling with peers, or just feeling uncertain about the future.
I am passionate to work with older teens and young adults, who are often told that these are the "best years of their life" and who then find themselves struggling. I help them to explore their contradictory feelings about growing up and support them to build resilience. I also provide specific support to parents and caregivers.
Engaging in therapy can be a daunting process. I strive to create a safe and thoughtful space for all ages. I use a play-based approach for younger children and teens who struggle to articulate their feelings. All my clients are encouraged to take the lead in the space, guiding me to the areas they want to explore.
