I’m Nicola, I work with individuals and couples trying to make sense of change in their lives. Change may be a natural part of human life, but it can be hard to understand the loss of a close relative, friend or lover or other difficult sudden events and to figure out what happens now. The emotional effects of a change can knock you off balance influencing the way you think and feel about yourself now and in the future. I have a real interest in the emotional impact of life changes and how they influence our emotions. One-to-one therapy gives you the time and place to help make sense of difficult events in your life.
It's hard to ignore that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you notice changes in your relationship with a life partner. It can feel exhausting and confusing as you try to understand what happened to turn love and connection into blame and silence. But you don't have to try to work things out alone, couples therapy gives you the place to reconnect.
It’s part of being human to reach out to others, to ask for help to face the emotional impact of change. With my experience of life changes, I can help you find your way through.
