My work is rooted in compassionate, attentive listening, but having trained as a humanistic, integrative counsellor, it incorporates elements of CBT, Gestalt, Inner Child Work and the optional use of clay, drawing/painting and Sand Tray as a springboard for self-enquiry and growth. Also, some clients find using simple Mindfulness exercises can be beneficial.
My intention is to offer a warm, compassionate and empathetic space but it's not always easy to open up to a complete stranger. This is why I offer a free half hour preliminary meeting to find out whether we feel comfortable working together and get a sense of whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
