Parenting Therapeutically
We traditionally parent in the style/technique that our parents did, often with a strong desire to do it differently. Additionally due to hormonal changes and unconscious triggers around parenthood, we can get blind-sighted by things from our past, often things that we thought we had processed. In this group we explore the neuroscience, psychology, and evidenced based practice of parenting, with space for 'live' processing of difficulties, and experience learning opportunities. I have over a decade of experience working within the field of therapeutic parenting, as well as a wealth of research to support this group.

Practical Implications for Research
Are you a counselling or psychotherapy student, or are you just interested in the psychology of what makes you, you? What kind of man are you? How does your role as a man impact on you and those around you? Some say that it's never been harder in history to be a man, and recently there has been lots of thinking which considers these difficulties stemming from 'toxic masculinity'. There is a large base of dominant discourse culture which has embedded this toxic masculinity, often unconsciously in our thinking and behaviour- and only by bringing light and thought to this can we effect change.
