Hello, I'm Basia Louise. I'm an experienced Counsellor/ Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Eco (walk and talk therapy) Humanist/Clinical Supervisor and a member of BACP with a private practice in Newton Abbot. I believe one of the most important aspect in counselling, is first, in choosing the person you'll do your best work with and then in the building of that theraputic relationship of trust. I offer an open, caring, safe and non judgemental space where I help people get to the root of what is causing their problems and support them in discovering ways to change their lives for the better.
I am a humanistic integrative counsellor which means I am able to work creativly and with flexibility depending on your needs. From talking therapies,somatic work, yoga/breath, to creatve interventions, such as using sand tray, voice dialouge or art therapies to help you find positve ways to grow. As a member of BACP I fully adhere to their code of ethics
Through life's difficulties,struggles and traumas, you likely have created an armour of coping strategies that kept your vulnerable self feeling safe but are based in negative beliefs and 'old story'.
