Hello, I'm Beccy, a qualified integrative counsellor with 4 years experience in counselling for bereavement, illness and anxiety led feelings. If you are struggling with difficult feelings, I aim to support you in a safe welcoming environment, where you feel able to explore these. Together we will begin your path towards healing. You may be dealing with feelings of loss and bereavement, or been diagnosed with a life changing illness. You may be a carer for a loved one with a life changing condition. You will feel heard and supported with genuine understanding to "sit with" difficult emotions and move forwards towards healing.
My peaceful and welcoming therapy room overlooking fields and woodland.
Through building a supportive, open therapeutic relationship, we can discuss the varying and unique feelings of loss which are personal to you. We will explore your relationship with the person you have lost, including memories you would like to share. Your sessions will move at your pace with no end point to reach. I also offer counselling for illness.
Following the sad loss of my sister at 39 from cancer, I understand the difficult feelings and emotions around grief, which change within a day. Having taken the brave step of counselling myself I understand this too can feel overwhelming. It was a relief for me to be heard and understood, for a kind counsellor to " sit with me".
