I am a qualified Psychotherapist with degrees in number of different therapeutic modalities and over 20 years experience in Family and Children Services and private practice. I use effective evidence-based techniques, practices and therapeutic skills to tailor-make my approach. I use active-directive psychotherapy that promotes change by helping clients to identify, confront, and change their self-defeating thoughts and beliefs. I have extensive experience working with attachment, Childhood trauma and family relationships and in the treatment of many mental and emotional disturbances.
My passion is in empowering people to have a better insight into their own thinking patterns and to manage their behaviour so they can lead a healthier and thriving lives and relationships. This can be achieved by using specific modalities from CBT to working with your inner child and healing wounds from childhood and systemic therapy to understand you.
Our challenges and difficulties in life has impacted on who we are today and we need to learn to process that to better understand ourselves. I aim to build an accepting and trusting relationships, encouraging exploration of your current/past difficulties in order to create lasting positive change that can be implemented in any future difficulties.
