Hello! I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor currently offering online and in-person sessions sessions with adults. Indlela is a Zulu word meaning path or journey but also resource. I believe this word encapsulates the role I play as counsellor. Someone who will accompany you on your journey through the difficulties or concerns that bring you to therapy by offering a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Through this exploration, we will work to discover and develop the internal resources you need to continue your journey, even once you have left therapy.
My integrative training means I am able to tailor my approach to address your individual concerns. I am trauma informed and aim to create a safe and non-judgmental space that considers you as a whole – mind, body and spirit. I also bring an intersectional lens to my practice including the role that oppression can play in shaping what you are experiencing.
I know taking that first step towards therapy can be a daunting prospect and so you may have a lot of questions about therapy and the ways that it can support you. To help with this I offer a free 15min introductory call which will allow us to meet, explore what brings you to therapy and help to determine whether I am the right therapist for you.
