| اُردُو As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a number of modalities of counselling & CBT to support my clients. Acceptance without judgement and offering a safe and confidential space for my clients is at the core of my practice. I have helped clients from all backgrounds to manage; low mood, anxiety, depression and low self esteem. I work with both individual and couples therapy clients ( Accredited- Tavistock Relationships). I support clients facing relationship difficulties and those looking for help with loss / bereavement. I bring culturally sensitive awareness to all my work including the impact of identity, race & faith.
I work in a person centred way, but have the flexibility to integrate different aspects of talking therapies into my practice including CBT, TA, Psychodynamic Existential and Spiritual approaches. I bring awareness of race, identity and cultural practices and the impact these have on clients experience of mental health as well as many inequalities.
I have extensive experience of working in a focused way within the NHS and as a Couples Therapist where one or both partners may be suffering from Depression. I enjoy working with clients in a flexible way to meet their needs. During assessment and treatment, and through regular reviews I encourage clients to be actively involved in their therapy.
