When we carry more than others see, replay the same worries, live with difficult feelings, and keep going despite feeling we're not good enough, it can be exhausting; especially when we're trying to appear well. Cracks may be starting to show, or perhaps it's simply time to understand what's really going on. I'm Mark, the counsellor behind Ash Roots Counselling, and if any of this feels familiar, we can talk confidentially. There'll be no judgement and no pressure to discuss things before you're ready. You don't need a diagnosis or even know exactly what to say. I'm here to support you in exploring what matters to you.

I give a space to think, talk and make sense of what’s happening for you. We can explore difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences at your pace and without me pressuring you. I won’t tell you what you should do or offer unhelpful fixes. Instead, I’ll listen, understand and support you to find a way forward that feels right for you. I'm not a life coach.

Asking for support can feel unfamiliar, especially if you’re used to getting on with things or keeping things to yourself. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say.
