Welcome to Artaius Creative Psychotherapy, my name is Justin. I am a Dramatherapist and Environmental Arts Therapist. I am HCPC registered with over 13 years’ experience working in a variety of settings.
My Therapy room is near the centre of Plymouth and provides a quiet, safe space where clients are able to explore a wide variety of enquiries and needs in a gentle and indirect way. I have experience of working with a range of presentations including neurodiversity, depression, physical/sexual abuse and traumatic events. I have also worked extensively with gender dysphoria and identity.
Dramatherapy is a form of Psychotherapy.
I am both a clinician and creative and draw on my knowledge of drama and therapy to use as a medium for psychological change that may include action, story-making, music, movement, and art; to work with any issue that has presented itself leading to emotional and social changes. The therapy does not rely on talking alone to explore what’s going on for you.
My practice as an Environmental Arts Therapist involves using the natural environment to hold and witness the material being explored. Nature is a calming and grounding presence that can act as a resource during sessions and sustain clients on a daily basis in between sessions.
