Life can be challenging. It may feel like something is holding you back or perhaps you can’t feel yourself really living. You may have developed coping mechanisms that are negatively impacting your life. Parts of you may feel lost, disconnected or numb whilst you function through your daily life. Talking can be hard to do, even with those around you. I work with adults and young people in a trauma-informed way that is safe, gentle and compassionate to work towards real change. I specialise in eating disorders, sexual abuse, self-esteem, panic attacks, anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, relationship issues, PTSD/CPTSD and identity.
I work in a relational way alongside clients using symbol/metaphor to gently identify experiences that words are difficult to define, using a dual processing technique. This includes talking in addition to the client’s choice of working with postcards, objects, marks/words on paper, dreams or perhaps a song that resonates with you. You may just want to talk!
The process is about empowering you in your life. Together we can gently work to understand and work with the different parts of yourself, in a way that is supportive and non-judgemental, to ensure that you are heard so that lasting change can happen. We can develop new ways for you to manage through life and build self-efficacy. Book a free consultation.
