Extreme trauma exists in PTSD but in some way all of us experience trauma from the school bully to the manager who does not listen. We all have states of anxiety and depression. What is a normal state and how do we know if we are heading for a breakdown. What is a balanced happy life? We can have control of some things in our life and other things come along and smack us in the face. What therapy with me does is give you a space for observation without personal judgement or criticism , just questions from me so that I understand your motivations and help shape your goals. Sometimes your answers are in the past, often in the present.
Over 20yrs of experience and with many approaches adapted to each individual. I believe traditional talking therapy plus my specific techniques can provide the best environment for growth. I am used to working with short and longer term interventions, periodic therapy or providing more of a coaching approach.
Change starts with you. Approaching therapy means you want help to change a situation, a feeling, a pattern of behaviour, a habit. Awareness and the ability to make that change empowers you and moves you forward. Diverse situations and states require different approaches and I will work with you to find a solution to your problems.
