About
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Tutor and Supervisor. I work with a wide range of issues and client groups i.e. Individuals, couples, young people and families. I am dedicated to advancing equality and welcome client’s across the gender sexuality and relationship diversity spectrum. As a white therapist I acknowledge my unearned white privilege and I do not shy away from addressing my responsibility to educate myself about racism and its ongoing impact. I work with clients on the patterns that restrict them, with the aim of helping clients evolve beyond, where they have been before, to a healthier place.
I work with supervisees and clients in many settings; some clients bring specific issues and others just know something isn’t right for them. I am happy to work in a short term focused way or to offer longer term on-going work. When you start therapy, it is not unusual to be unsure about what you need or want, but together we may be able to work that out.
I hope that describing myself as an empathic and warm person will fit with your experience, should you decide to work with me,. These qualities together with experience, insight and an ability to challenge are qualities I see as core requirements for someone in my profession. I always encourage a free 30 minute first meeting, before you commit to sessions.
