Working exclusively via video call ensuring that clients feel relaxed in familiar surroundings, I work with my clients to help them to find a route through their struggles, helping them to unhook themselves from unhelpful thinking styles and strategies. From the outset my clients understand that counselling requires them to put into practice the things that we identify during our sessions - just like homework. The solutions don't come from our sessions, they come from the work that my clients put in between our sessions.
Having worked in FE and HE for literally decades I have a lot of experience working with young adults and their families. I have a special interest in cyberpsychology and the impact (both positive and negative) that social media can have on our mental health. I am very experienced in working with the ND community.
The world changed for good in 2020 and its impact is still being felt today. Whether online or in real life it's somehow felt trickier to navigate issues and negotiate other relationships. Lockdown life forced us all to reflect on how we'd like our life to look in the future - now normality has resumed the onus is on us to honour that commitment
