I can help when things are changing. If you are: adjusting to a diagnosis like autism; a young adult starting something or leaving home; processing ‘positive’ changes or news; leaving church or a religion. I can also help during struggles with anxiety, depression or other challenges. My professional axperience includes working with neurodivergence, abuse survivors and students. Change can be many things. It might be parenthood; menopause; diagnosis; student life; relationships starting or ending; recognising coercion in a religion or changing your religious views and beliefs; leaving or joining a group; loss / ending / new start.
I can use a range of tools from different counselling approaches, depending on what you communicate to me (Integrative Counselling.) In a session, I listen, contribute, respond, ask questions and offer suggestions. I might invite you to do activities, share knowledge or provide resources. I am Person-Centred, strongly influenced by related theory and values.
Every person is unique: I am open to hear from you. Counselling doesn't fix everything (and I may not be the right counsellor for you) but can help and my own experience of a transformative therapy relationship led me into this work.
