Thank you for taking the time to look my profile. My approach to working with you is about what you want to work on and achieve in therapy. Whether you are experiencing sadness, depression or a sense of disconnection, the human condition is characterised by a fundamental desire for connection and being heard. I work holistically on your whole self - the mind and body as one. This is firmly routed in my trainings and experience. I have a relaxed and informal approach, which supports your ability to be truly who you are, in a non-judgemental and confidential environment.
I have extensive experience in mental health, having worked both within the NHS and in private practice. I have a very broad expertise. However, my specialisms have always been helping people who have experienced trauma, supporting couples and families - including pre-marital/child therapy, understanding neurodivergence and trans-generational issues.
Like nearly everyone who visits this site, psychotherapists will have faced their own difficulties. My belief is that the specialisms often reflect aspects of the person's own history and recovery. When we are going through difficulties or challenges, it is so hard to see the other side of what might be. Therapy can help you reach the other side.
