I offer a warm, safe, grounded and supportive space where we can be curious about the difficulties you are currently facing, in order to gain a new and deeper understanding of them. We will work to understand the challenges of the present and their relationship with the past, in order to alleviate symptoms of distress, anxiety and depression and improve your sense of well-being. As you gain more insight into your difficulties you may feel more empowered to move forwards in your life. My breadth of training and experience enables me to tailor my practice in a way that feels the most helpful and suited to your needs and interest.
I have trained as a Creative Arts Therapist and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Psychotherapist. I am also interested in working holistically, making space for any spiritual needs you may have and exploring ways to access your own inner wisdom. I can work creatively to explore difficulties as well as use more 'logic' based CBT methods.
I have 20 years of experience as a therapist, most of that was working in adult mental health in the NHS. More recently I have worked to support staff in a Higher Education counselling service. I currently work as a student counsellor at a University in Norwich.
