Another day, another struggle. Sound familiar? If you have landed here, I’m guessing that applies to you. Hello and welcome, I am Angie, a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor based in the Lothians near Edinburgh. I offer face-to-face counselling, walk & talk sessions as well as online and telephone counselling in English and German. My focus as a compassionate counsellor is on you, and the therapeutic relationship we build is at the core of everything we do. Depending on what feels right for you, we can explore different perspectives, including CBT, person-centred and psychodynamic approaches.
Besides running my own practice, I volunteer at Polbeth Community Hub, a small charity in Scotland’s Central Belt, where I work with adults of all ages, providing support with a number of issues, such as difficult work place and personal relationships, challenging family dynamics, midlife changes, anxiety and depression, loss and bereavement, to name a few.
Now in my early 60s, married with three adult children, I bring my life experience and my core values to the therapeutic relationship I build with my clients, namely that life is precious and worth living to the best of our talents and abilities – which can get buried under the pressures of life and which I hope to help you unearth so you can move forward.
