It can be hard to cope sometimes and talking to family or friends is not always enough. Are you struggling with anxiety, stress or life pressures? Is a relationship problem causing upset or does low self esteem hold you back in life and love? Are you a survivor of sexual abuse or assault and not sure how to move on in life? Shame and guilt can be so debilitating. Being able to talk confidentially in therapy can help you gain back a sense of control and enable you to move forward again. I also offer support and space for clients on the asexual spectrum with any issues that may be impacting relationships, mental health and life.
I'm a qualified counsellor with additional extensive life skills and experiences which enable me to offer therapy with awareness in an open and non-judgemental way. I've gained my counselling experience in various setting including a sexual abuse charity, secondary schools, hospice care, youth centres, clinic work and in my own private practice.
The counselling relationship is built on trust and respect. Once that has been established the therapeutic journey can begin. Talking and being heard enables the client the space to discover the the way to work towards change - gaining the ability to gain control and move on from areas of confusion and pain to a more fulfilling and contended sense of being.
