My belief is we each have within ourselves the innate capacity to bring about the growth and change we long for: it simply needs rediscovering and nurturing for our way forward to emerge. What I can offer is an attentive environment and the kind of supportive relationship that nurtures that seed within. We all experience life events which can be disturbing, distressing, troubling, making our lives feel difficult or off balance: in providing a supported space- set apart from the routine of life- I offer the opportunity to explore and reflect upon whatever is causing you concern: together.
I work integratively meaning I use my knowledge and understanding of various therapeutic models to work in a way which best suits you tailor-making the experience to meet your specific needs. Not everyone finds talking easy: drawing, imagery, dreams, animals, moulding clay, visualisation are alternative ways we can utilise to help express our feelings.
My experience of counselling is as a place of warm acceptance. A sanctuary where feelings can be shared without fear of judgement; a place of encouragement nurturing the emergence of my own voice; exploration and evolution; a challenge and a comfort. This is something of how I hope you might experience the process of counselling working with me.

Groups
Supervision Group (Zoom/in person)
Within a well held, supported & supportive, Group lies an opportunity for personal & professional growth; space for reflection on our practice & ourselves; a thinking together in a non-judgmental environment; where feelings can be articulated & heard by others; the gentle promotion of challenge & change. Group supervision also promotes a sense of companionship & mutual support for lone workers, whether counsellors or other helping professionals. My fees are by the hour, rather than by number of attendees, making Group more affordable. Interested? looking for a group facilitator, or exploring the idea of being part of a supervision group, simply email me and we can have a conversation.
